360° Assessments

This a great way to give leaders the opportunity to get the views and opinions from a diverse group of stakeholders; Board members, senior colleagues, peers, direct reports and third parties.  It enables clients to understand the perception of their performance based on a range of perspectives, so that they can focus on their strengths, and adjust some of their behaviours that may be standing in the way of greater success.

WestHeath Coaching provides a bespoke conversation-based / approach, both with the client and feedback providers.  I believe in the power of the visual connection and engagement as there are visual and non-verbal clues that tell us so much.  The main focus is on behaviours (what people actually do rather than what they think they say or do - and why) and the best way to discover these is through honest, open but sensitively-handled interviews with people closest to the client.

I then consolidate all the feedback into a full report and take the client through it carefully as part of a 1.5 hour future-focused coaching session.  This session allows the client to partner with the coach in mapping out their development plan; including devising clear goals, and figuring out how they are going to address any core issues whilst still playing to their strengths.

Employee Coaching

 Employee Coaching

Focused 1-hour individual coaching; package of 6, 8, 10 or 12 sessions. Designed for:

  • High-potential future leaders and people managers.

  • Those considered to be under-performing.  The standard Performance Improvement Process is negative, drawn out and usually costly for all parties.  My coaching concentrates on developing those missing skills and is a highly positive and motivating journey for the client.

This one-to-one coaching programme helps employees to:

  • Develop a set of tools and techniques that will significantly improve their leadership capability and specific people management skills

  • Build their confidence so that they are able to manage conflict and navigate difficult situations

  • Genuinely reflect on their behaviours, and work on adjusting these (as necessary) to improve their performance

  • Be honest and open about where they are at, and work with the coach to move forward with a positive and can-do mentality

HR Mentoring

Mentoring HR Professionals

Focused 1-hour mentoring; package of 4, 6, 8 or 10 sessions.

Mentoring is a powerful development tool that can help individuals reach their goals and aspirations.  Mentoring with WestHeath Coaching offers advice, teaching and the benefit of experience  to support the learning, development and progress of the client.

Designed for those working in HR or a heavily people-facing role who may need additional external support, help and advice to meet the needs of their employees, clients and overall business.

Types of situations requiring mentoring could be:

  • To help clients develop skills in a specific area

  • To provide guidance to those in a new role (e.g promotion)

  • To invest in an employee as part of talent planning and / or succession planning

  • To help an employee overcome certain barriers to success

  • To build confidence, belief and capability to enable an employee to operate at a higher level

  • To support an employee through a difficult period

Mentoring is a fantastic way to support individuals to be successful, and at the senior level to influence the shape and future of their organisation.

Untangling

"Untangling" People Management

A 2.5-hour session designed expressly to simplify the business of managing people.  Perfect for those who don't have the time, budget or bandwidth for a multiple day course. This is for up to 6 people (in the same company) and the cost is per session not per person.

Ideal for people managers who aren't yet doing their best work, new managers needing a leg up, and high-potential future managers preparing for that first step towards leading a team.

Most people learn best when they are engaged and relaxed.  That's why I:

  • Create  a fun and collaborative environment - where no question is a stupid question and people have the confidence to put themselves forward

  •  Adopt a coaching style - nobody wants to feel they are back in a classroom being told what to do!

  •  Take a practical approach - theory is fine, but people need to be able to it in real life situations

  • Am all about 'live' practice - having a go in a safe space so that when clients have to do it for real, it's easy because they have done it before.
